Walker Lovell are pleased to be recruiting for a Human Resource Business Partner for a long standing client within the mining and minerals industry.

As a global leading producer and distributor of minerals and minerals based products, our client is now seeking an individual to join their fast-paced heavy industrial environment to support their people in North America.

The HRBP will be a part of a dedicated people team that are situated out of their national HQ in the Dallas Fort Worth area and at the various regional offices across the US. Offering proactive, go-getting energy, the Human Resource Business Partner will be the vital link in the delivery of our client’s strategy.

Travel is around 30-40% where you will be required to meet with colleagues at plants, mines and terminals across the US.

Role and Responsibilities are but are not limited to...

  • Formulate a presence and build relationships with the customer base.
  • Provide in-person HR support and offer guidance on company people initiatives.
  • Act as an interface between employees and senior leadership.
  • Monitor people related metrics and offer innovative solutions, ideas to enhance the Human Resource Function.
  • Assist with job requisitions and strategy, enable policy development and the implementation of HR Compliance.

You will excel with...

  • Front line HR experience working with operational teams.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, with a high level customer service approach.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and practices at local, state and federal jurisdiction.
  • Presentation and public speaking experience
  • Demonstrating a strong interpersonal confidence.

What you need...

  • Degree in HR or related field. Masters would be a plus.
  • Professional HR Certification
  • Previous multi-site HR experience is required.
  • Progressive experience within a heavy industry/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of delivering training to employees from entry level to managers.
