Lab QC Technician job in in Calera

Experience:
- 1–3 years preferred, 2–4 years ideal in lab QC or industrial manufacturing
- Prior laboratory experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, aggregates, steel, mining, lime, or building materials environments highly desirable
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to work rotating DuPont-style 12-hour shifts (day and night rotations)
- Strong safety awareness and compliance with plant safety procedures
- Physical ability to access sampling points and work in physically demanding, dusty/heavy industrial environments
- Hands-on, operationally minded; able to collect samples, analyze data, and make independent quality decisions in real-time
- Strong communication skills and understanding of reporting structures
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or related technical field preferred but not essential
Work Environment:
- Comfortable working outside traditional lab environments, directly on plant sites
- Able to work independently and in a team across rotating shifts

Industry Experience:
- Experience in aggregates and lime manufacturing, building materials, steel manufacturing, mining, or mineral processing
- Previous roles at companies such as Vulcan, Argos, CMC, O’Neal Steel, US Steel, OTK
Education:
- Technical or chemistry-related degree beneficial

Candidates must be fully briefed and committed to rotating 12-hour DuPont-style shifts
Willingness to undergo SHL assessment during interview process
