Salary: $140,000 – $165,000 (Depending on experience)

Join a well-established chemical manufacturer as a key member of their capital projects team. If you have experience in estimating and controlling costs on complex manufacturing or plant-based construction projects, this is your opportunity to lead initiatives valued from $1 million to over $1 billion.

In this newly created position, you’ll collaborate directly with project managers and senior stakeholders. You’ll take ownership of cost estimation across a wide portfolio of work, from greenfield site development to plant upgrades involving piping systems, pressure vessels and process equipment.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading cost estimation and project controls for capital projects over $50MM
  • Developing estimating tools and cost tracking systems aligned with AACE best practices
  • Supporting project managers with budgeting, scheduling, and monthly reporting
  • Helping evaluate and potentially select new cost-estimating software
  • Partnering across finance, legal, engineering, and operations to drive reporting accuracy and accountability

What we’re looking for:
  • 5–10 years in cost estimating/project controls within chemical, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing sectors
  • Understanding of plant construction components like heat exchangers, piping, and reactors
  • Proficiency with ERP/project management tools (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Primavera P6)
  • AACE or PMP certification is a strong plus
