CoreFX Ingredients is a US-based food/beverage ingredient manufacturer which specializes in nourishing and nurturing bodies and minds. Our manufacturing facility is located in Orangeville, IL. Our Innovation Center is located in Evanston, IL.

We are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to join our growing sales team.

JOB PURPOSE: The National Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales for current and new customers. This position will prospect for both new business and support CoreFX Ingredients’ current sales volumes with existing customers. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for order management, ensuring satisfactory customer delivery and prompt communication. The individual also manages broker/distributor relationships as needed in their geographic territory. This is a remote position, west coast territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategic planning, sales planning, leading others
  • Directly representing CoreFX Ingredients to current and prospective customers, effectively visiting these customers on a monthly or quarterly basis as needed via customer visits, trade shows, CoreFX Ingredients plant visits, phone calls, and e-mails.
  • Build sales volumes in a profitable manner in his/her respective territory.
  • Convey technical messages that leverage CoreFX Ingredient’s unique capabilities and satisfy customer needs.
  • Prospect for and uncover new sales opportunities that align with CoreFX Ingredients capabilities.
  • Productively manage broker representatives.
  • Develop a strong project pipeline for near, mid-term, and long-term sales potential with key accounts and prospects.
  • Execute a sales strategy that promotes a balanced product mix and healthy margin management.
  • Completes required reports and forms, (i.e. weekly summaries, customer call reports, pipeline reports, sample requests, pricing requests, expense reports), accurately and in timely fashion.
  • Manage Salesforce/CRM and the sales pipeline via this function in co-operation with R&D.
  • Professionally represent CoreFX Ingredients at various industry and customer functions.
  • Assists CoreFX Ingredients internal accounting in collecting on past due accounts.
  • Direct and monitor the operations of customer service and sales support for individual accounts.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability.
  • Support positive relationships with internal company business leaders to ensure open communication between sales, engineering, quality, and customers to ensure effectiveness.
  • Submit Purchase Orders to be added to production.
  • Interface with customers, customer service and operations to ensure that goals are met, and customers receive the best service possible.
  • Coordinate with Quality for lab results for schedule ship dates.
  • Develop and provide technical reports and critical customer satisfaction tracking analytics for establishing KPIs and performance results.
  • Stay current with company developments and product launches.
  • Lead the company’s efforts in the sales of service support contracts, including the execution of upgrades and modifications.
  • Recommend changes in process, procedures and systems based on information and results obtained in the field and various company operations.
  • Support achieving inventory fill rate targets through effective order management review.
  • Manage order exceptions regarding inventory availability (e.g. shorts, ETA, allocations, timing, risk).
  • Coordinate with Customer Service for ship/delivery dates and corrective actions, if needed.
  • Inform the customer 2 weeks prior to their orders shipping of any delays or not meeting requested date.
  • Weekly meetings with team to inform them new orders received and if they are running into any issues with production, etc.

Travel: up to 75% (customer visits, tradeshows, CoreFX Ingredients plant visits)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years’ experience within Sales and Account Management - preferably within Ingredient Manufacturing
  • Experience in full Account Management, Project Management, Order Management, customer satisfaction, distribution, and sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Works well within a team and individually
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products
