Sourcing Must Haves
- Supervisory or management experience in industrial manufacturing
- Strong industrial manufacturing background, preferably with kiln operation experience
- Experience in lime, cement, or heavy industrial/process manufacturing environments
- Experience working rotating shifts, ideally DuPont rotating schedule (28-day cycle with day and night shifts)
- Approximately 5 years combined experience in industrial environments, supervisory roles, and shift work leadership
- Ability to work effectively in a union environment and handle grievances
Sourcing Nice to Haves
- MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) experience preferred
- Awareness of regulated operating environments (e.g., SQF) beneficial but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but candidates with high school diploma/GED plus relevant experience will be considered
- Experience with production reporting, downtime tracking, and operational coordination
- Experience in mining sectors (gold, copper) or other western US heavy industrial facilities
Location Requirements
- Position based at Apex facility (Las Vegas area)
- Candidates from Northern Nevada, Arizona, California, Washington, or willing to relocate to Las Vegas area
Other Preferences
- Strong technical understanding of preheater kilns, lime chemistry, fuels and combustion processes
- Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physically able to perform duties including accessing plant locations, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately once per year) for training (up to one week)
