The QC Supervisor is responsible for assuring that the laboratories effectively execute policies, procedures, and systems, established by FrieslandCampina in the areas of analytical and microbiological testing. In addition, seeks the successful functioning of quality control systems within the plant (included but not limited to sampling, analytical and microbiological trend analysis, quality alerts, environmental monitoring results, root-cause analysis).

What We Ask

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related fields. Preferable experience with Laboratory Quality Control processes. At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience writing and interpreting technical reports.
  • Math and basic statistical skills

Functional Duties (include but not limited to)
  • Works under the supervision of QA Manager in the Development, Implementation and Maintenance of programs including employee training, document control and support auditing and inspection programs.
  • Assures FCINA QC labs compliance with Good Laboratory Practices and ISO standards.
  • Leads laboratory team in troubleshooting tests and/or results related deficiencies.
  • Works with management to identify root cause and eliminate recurring laboratory-quality related problems.
  • Coordinates the third-party proficiency testing program to ensure reliable test results.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment complies with calibration/preventive maintenance programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that “out of specification” product test results are communicated to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate testing of raw materials and finished product with outside testing lab (Certified Labs).
  • Ensure laboratory methods manuals and laboratory SOPs are current and complete.
  • Develop/maintain lab safety program to ensure employees understand and comply.
  • Identify opportunities focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement via the realization of incremental improvements.
  • Supervision of QC Laboratory and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing programs in order to prevent interruption for production and/or procurement schedule.
  • Maintain laboratory and cleanliness and ensure safe, accurate and efficient analyses.
  • Manage lab work request prioritization to ensure customer satisfaction.
